Labour & employmentEarly Wage Liquidity ReliefEarly pay increased overall production by 0.27 leaf plates per hour (a 7% increase relative to the comparison group). For workers under high preexisting financial strain, production increased by 0.5 plates per hour, whereas lower-strain workers experienced no significant change. Within three days of early pay, loan repayment probability increased by 40 percentage points (a 222% increase from an 18% baseline), food spending rose 25% from INR 270 ($4.17), and general expenditures rose 65% from INR 573 ($8.84).RCTDevelopmentInterim Liquidity Relief and Worker ProductivityReceiving an interim cash infusion increased worker output by 0.109 SDs (6.9%, p=0.020) and reduced attentional lapses by 0.08 SDs (p=0.092), with productivity gains concentrated among poorer workers (+0.204 SDs or 13.0%, p=0.003).RCTEconomics (general)Meritocratic Promotion Productivity BoostTransitioning to a meritocratic promotion system increased the average number of household visits provided per worker by 22% (+1.497 visits; p < 0.01) and increased average visit length by 15% without compromising service quality or household targeting.RCTLabour & employmentPerformance-Based Incentive SystemsIntroducing worker and manager incentive systems directly increased worker efficiency and attendance, contributing to a 9.4% overall increase in plant output and a 16.6% productivity increase in the first year.RCT
